Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty, born on the 1st of October, 1995 was raised in Berkeley, California. Her work as an actress is known for Choices (2010, The Heart and Other Small Shapes, 2006) and Chrissie Mair's Content House 2022.
Asia Argento is an Italian actress and film maker who was born into an extended household. She has also pursued film and acting. Her first film came out when she was just nine years old old in Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she starred as the main character in Cristina Comencini's first film, Zoo, and was one of the actors in The Church directed by Michele Soavi. She was later cast as Nanni Moretti's daughter in Red Wood Pigeon It was when she starred in Close Friends written and directed by Michele Placido, that Asia's career really took off and she could transition from roles that were played by young girls into more mature, complex roles. Cannes International Film Festival received the film well. Daria Argento as well as her mother and one Argento's favorite actors, Daria was an orexic teenager who is searching for the murderer of her parents in Trauma. Asia's intense, absorbed performance style was put to good use in the film Condannato a nozze. She co-starred with Carlo Verdone in Perdiamoci di the view as Arianna, a girl who was physically handicapped. In 1994 Asia began the art of directing, and produced two short films in the episode of the movie De Generazione In 1996 she directed a documentary on her father, and in 1998, another film on the legendary director Abel Ferrara, AbelAsia which received an award from The Rome Film Festival. Asia began her debut feature film in 1999. The film was Scarlet Diva. For this film she also played the lead actress and also composed the script. It was released worldwide during May of 2000. The film won an distinction in Brooklyn during the Williamsburg International Film Festival.
